It is closer to afternoon when Alex falls asleep, but Neil refuses to shift away. He stays with the other man against him, his hand continuously flowing through Alex's hair. He doesn't cease his ministrations, not even when his other hand moves to wipe away the fluid on both their abdomens with his undershirt. (It can be washed later.)

They stay like this, with Neil watching the ceiling, its cracks and its fissures.

Consciousness returns with confusion. He finds himself blinking, curled up close to Neil. "...Sleepy," he mutters, not really tired at all.

There are telltale signs of Alex waking, but Neil does not cease his motions. He does, however, grin at the spoken word.

"You sound sleepy," he returns.

[doubletap]

He's something close to embarrassed, something edging on shy. He cuddles closer, keeping his face hidden in the curve of Neil's neck. "...Don't know why I fell asleep."

Neil chuckles, finding the confusion endearing. "Well, I can think of a couple of reasons."

...He buries his face further.

"Is it always like that..." he starts, pushing past the shyness overtaking him. "The brain blanking out thing?"

Oh? Shit, is it just him, or is Alex Seattle Geer demonstrating shyness?

Rather than calling attention to that, however, Neil hums his assent. "I think I've blacked out a few times from things, actually," he adds.

"It's different." Speak more clearly. "...It's a different experience. Being the one touched."

[goodfight]

Oh. Now Neil Park feels sheepish. "And being the one touching," he gives shyly.

[doubletap]

Here is where Alex will finally raise his head slightly, to stare with one eye to Neil. He kisses the skin of his neck before speaking. "...You seemed to take to it very well."

[goodfight]

The eye on him has Neil flushing. The kiss and the claim worsen the color. "You, uh, really seemed to like...whatever I was doing," he tries (and somewhat succeeds) to not stammer.

[doubletap]

"...Of course I did," he replies, words a growl. "That was just a fucking handjob and you made my brain up and quit on me for a while there."

No, be more truthful--

"...It was fucking wonderful. I really don't have the words to explicate the reasons, but god fucking damn."

[goodfight]

His heart stumbles through its beats, entirely affected by Alex's appraisal. Neil swallows, suddenly nervous.

"That's..." He trails off, fumbling through his words. "I'm... That's good. Really good."

Courage, dammit. "I'm so glad you think that."

[doubletap]

...There's a beat. Alex stills.

"You know... I really hope you're not really good at all the stuff you learned. I'll be dead within the week from heart failure."

[goodfight]

Imagining Alex dead from too much good sex has Neil scoffing through his embarrassment.

"No," he denies. "Plus, I had a couple of previous handjobs to pull from. The rest are riding on verbal instructions. I doubt I would be good at all or any of it."

[doubletap]

He goes back to nuzzling. "Hopefully all that previous experience is just me."

[goodfight]

This makes Neil smile. Reminds him that kinder, quieter moments like this do exist. "There would be no one else," he gives.

[doubletap]

"Just like there's no one else to make me react like that," he says honestly. "You're going to be unbearably great at whatever you choose to try."

[goodfight]

"You..." Make him feel like a person. "...really know how to flatter me."

[doubletap]

...And Alex turns red. He rubs his face into Neil's shoulder. "...not flattery if it's the truth."

[goodfight]

Neil picks up hair petting again, in an attempt to regulate both men. "So long as I don't disappoint you, I will be happy," he says. "Even if I end up failing at a sex act."

[doubletap]

There's a thousand arguments to Neil disappointing him or failing, but the touch reminds him of how Neil pet him as he came.

Which reminds him of logistics.

He's been shifting already and skin isn't sticking, which-- "...Question. Did you clean up...after?"

"Huh?" Wiping away the gunk off of Alex, right. "Oh, yeah. I thought it'd be uncomfortable for you to wake up to stuff on you."

...Oh. All right, Neil. Have Alex lift his head to stare at you, a slow flush brightening the entirety of his skin.

Wait. Why's Alex staring at him like that? Did-- "...Did I do wrong?" asks Neil, suddenly concerned.
