It's a split-second decision, and Neil doesn't know fully get why. It would be easy, entirely too easy to cover his lips over the tip, to move as Jimmy from Westside had instructed.

But it's too soon, he finds. As Alex reaches to touch Neil's face, fingers trailing affectionately over his lips, the younger man begins to understand. Whether sexual, loving, or otherwise, the Courier would accept whatever of Neil's. And the Lone Wanderer would give himself freely. Entirely.

They have time to explore. They should focus on each other right now.

So he smiles at Alex, his hand again closing around the man's organ. "I love you," he murmurs before closing the distance with another kiss.

He doesn't even consider question the progression--because it's natural and it's theirs. Neil states love before kissing him, and Alex only makes a soft sound as a response into Neil's mouth. His hands reach up, one entwining in Neil's hair, the other palm flat between Neil's shoulder blades, holding on. They are chest to chest like this, and Alex finds it feels closer than it is--these gestures of love.

Alex stays submissive, but returns the kiss in full this time, giving as much as he's received in return.

Reciprocation does more for Neil than the rest, and within that haze in his mind, he regrets every time he merely took and never gave. He shivers at the hand in his hair, the contact of skin, the other hand holding them together, and out of sheer overwhelm, he tightens his hold on Alex. Squeezes once before setting to a steady pace.

Tightness, a firm hold; that's his preference. He inhales sharply into Neil's mouth, breathing stuttering and breaking the rhythm of their kiss. There's motion, where he had expected nothing, and he finds himself continuing to give sounds openly.

Finds nothing else, because nothing else remains to exist in his mind. Just the person against him and the sensations rising on his skin.

An uneven progression has Neil attempting to gain more reactions. He follows what he knows and what he's been taught: to overwhelm without breaking. To enjoy the taste of Alex's kiss without barreling ahead, to hold firmly without letting his natural strength take over. He slips his lips over the other's every instance there is a pause for breath, his hand moves against Alex similarly to how Neil had done so in that locked building back in Illinois--tightening whenever he edges toward the tip.

They're both flushed, their breaths coming in hard and broken, and it's only a matter of time before the end, but it's fine.

They are together, and even a change like this is only an expression of that.

...He doesn't know where Neil learned this. Certainly not from Alex (he feels like he's used this excuse before...), but regardless, it's effective. Not allowed a chance to calm down, to take deeper breaths, and not letting go and only keeping to a rhythm that Alex is fond of-- It has Alex grabbing at Neil, the hand that was in his hair, gripping Neil's shoulder like a lifeline, the other still holding him close despite the ridiculous overwhelm. It has his body shaking, trembling, wanting it all to stop and keep going at once.

But there's only one outcome to this, and Alex does so way more quickly than useful. Smothered by Neil, he gives a muffled cry into his mouth, jerking as his body climaxes, splattering their abdomens.

This is something new, experiencing sex from the other side. If Neil isn't so focused on Alex, he might have been rendered brainless from the man's reactions alone. As he is, he demonstrates moderate self-control, enough to continue elicit responses from his person. Not enough, however, to keep him from whimpering into Alex's mouth, from clutching the man as if letting go is not an option.

Neil doesn't realize he's shut his eyes, until they pry themselves open when Alex comes.

With near awe, he watches Alex. He makes notes of the differences between now and other moments in bed, and affected, Neil reaches to pet the soft hairs at the back of the man's head. Neil keeps his hold on the organ below, loosening only when Alex finishes.

His first awareness after the white, is Neil petting him softly. He murmurs nonsense, cuddling closer. He thinks to explain a few things. To lighten the moment or make it create more meaning.

But he just holds on. Closes his eyes and nuzzles close.

Alex cuddles close, fluids be damned, and Neil finds himself smiling. Discovers his chest is filled with a kind of peace that cannot be so easily extinguished. He continues petting through the other's hair, keeping the quiet atmosphere.

Neil keeps him, keeps petting him, and in the warmth of Neil's body, Alex finds himself dozing off.

It's different; he nearly never sleeps first, but contentment overtakes him and he drifts off.
